ALDOT Officials to Provide I-20/59 Update at Special Called Committee Meeting

Birmingham, AL – There will be a special called meeting of the Birmingham City Council’s Transportation and Communications Committee Wednesday, January 15, 4:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers. Officials from the Alabama Department of Transportation will update the Council on the proposed I-20/59 bridge replacement through the Downtown Central Business District.
This is only an informational meeting and not a public hearing; therefore, questions from the public will not be entertained.
“This meeting is to prepare the councilors for the public hearing on January 28,” said Councilwoman Kim Rafferty, committee chair. “The public can ask questions at that public hearing which will be held at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m.”
