BIRMINGHAM, AL- The Birmingham City Council is committed to making differences in the Greater Birmingham and surrounding communities. As many prepare to say goodbye to the summer season, councilors will join the cause and undergo a “cool” challenge to raise funds for a national charity. The Ice Bucket challenge for the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association is making waves across the nation, and the Southeast would not be complete without the City of Birmingham’s bold elected officials making their mark by preparing to get dunked with tons of heat remedy, ice cold water.
