City Leaders and Area Legislators Meet to Discuss the 2015 Legislative Agenda
With history all around them at The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, city leaders and state legislators met for the second time this year to talk about the future of the 2015 legislative agenda. Council President Johnathan Austin called the meetings in an effort to start conversations about important topics facing this community. Discussion ranged from quality of life issues like revitalization of neighborhoods, to financial concerns regarding tax incentives. With the majority of the council present, state legislators stressed the importance of hashing out a good agenda ahead of time. So this communication now means the vision of city leaders is clear while favorable to everyone involved. For more information WATCH THIS VIDEO.
