Equipping Educators-City Leaders Meet

education-meeting-webtabThe setting doesn’t include desks, students or chalkboards, but learning was in progress when Birmingham City Councilors and school board members had a luncheon to discuss educating students at an optimum level. Providing the best tools for educators and students requires a collective effort by local and state officials to find the resources needed. Part of that discussion includes ad valorem taxes which will help guide students to better graduation rates, raise the level of community schools, and bring much needed programs to the system. As councilors and school board members from the same district communicate and then grade their progress together, the quality of support will naturally rise. There are more meetings scheduled for later this year. VIEW THE VIDEO
