Councilor Sheila Tyson Inviting the Public to Attend the “30th Annual Titusville Day”

BIRMINGHAM, AL- Neighbors, family and friends often come together to fellowship in the rich southern heritage of the South. On Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, Birmingham City Councilor Sheila Tyson will help resonate the richness of that southern heritage as the Titusville community celebrates “Unity in Our Community” at their “30th Annual Titusville Day.” The event will began at 7:30 a.m. with a community parade, followed by a prayer breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at South Elyton Church, capped off by a fun filled Family Day in the Park and Movie at Sunset from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“We must continue to come together as much as possible and reflect on loving our neighbors,” Councilor Tyson said. “With everything happening in the world today it’s always good to keep our hearts open to embracing the true unity in our communities.”
The parade route will begin on Iota Avenue South behind Memorial Park and disperse at South Elyton Baptist Church, 100 First Avenue South where the prayer breakfast will begin.
