Election 2014-Councilors Help Get Out the Vote

voting2webtabThe 2014 general election had Birmingham city councilors hustling to get out the vote.  District 2 Councilor Kimberly Rafferty has worked as a polling inspector for 15 years.  Councilor Rafferty encourages candidates to volunteer at polling sites.  She says it helps candidates better understand the election process.  District 6 Councilor Sheila Tyson was pounding the pavement in her neighborhood reminding people to vote on Tuesday.  She also sent out thousands of texts and emails, as well as, a youtube video asking people to get out and vote.
