Recent money expo gives city leaders a chance to educate residents about financial literacy
Whether you’re spending or saving your money, balancing your finances can be difficult. To help residents improve their financial literacy, the Birmingham City Council co-sponsored the second annual Alabama Money Expo at Carver High School. The expo was broken up into different zones, including finances and retirement, housing and homeownership, small business and taxes and consumer protection. Residents received one-on-one consultations along with free credit reports. For more information about everything the council is doing visit www.birminghamalcitycouncil.org.
