Birmingham City Councilor Steven Hoyt Celebrates the Evolving Progress in the City of Birmingham and Urges the Media to Show Balanced Reporting

BIRMINGHAM, AL- Councilor Steven Hoyt believes the only way to continue to build Birmingham and promote the value of its rich southern amenities is through collaborative efforts with the media.
In celebrating the consistent progress and development happening in the City of Birmingham,
Councilor Hoyt addressed the Council during this past Tuesday’s Birmingham City Council meeting on the importance of balanced media coverage, especially within communities and encouraged the efforts of all stakeholders to participate in the process.

Councilor Hoyt added that in order for our city to attract national and global investors, balanced media coverage is an essential component.
“I know we’re not a perfect council or city for that matter, and yes we have to be accountable for everything that takes place on our watches,” Councilor Hoyt said. “We also have to be adamant and just as eager to promote the greatness and milestones that we achieve as well. I take that very seriously and I’m sure our citizens will appreciate the transparency.”
