BIRMINGHAM, AL – Nonprofits are essential to Birmingham’s growth and in recognizing that, the Birmingham City Council is looking to assist the hundreds of organizations who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for citizens in Birmingham. Today, the first Nonprofit Tour: Paving The Way For Birmingham’s Greatest Assets will kick off at the Vulcan Museum. The first stop along the tour will begin at 6 p.m.
“During this tour, it is our hope that we will be able to provide organizations with vital information from our group of panelists that will help them to better serve the City of Birmingham,” Birmingham City Council President Johnathan Austin said. “Through this tour we hope to also bridge gaps that exist by establishing partnerships with nonprofits to ensure that much needed social services, capital needs in some instances, and a variety of other services are maintained and sustained.”
The tour will continue with another stop on Thursday at the Birmingham Crossplex at 6 p.m. followed by the final stop at the Birmingham Museum of Art also at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and asked to be a part of this important discussion.
