Wenonah High School led their year with 33 wins and only one loss when they claimed their third straight Alabama 5A state championship after defeating Central High School in Tuscaloosa. It was the Dragons fourth straight appearance in the title game as they lost the 2013 final by a single point. This was the school’s eighth title, however.
