Little Free Libraries Unveiled at Parks Across Birmingham
Children visiting Birmingham City Parks now have a new feature to enjoy. The first of four “Little Free Libraries” was unveiled during a ceremony at Maclin Park. With over 36,000 little libraries around the world, Birmingham City Councilor Roberson partnered with GPS Educational Services to bring “Little Free Libraries” to Birmingham. Organizers say the libraries are designed to promote literacy and a sense of community among area youth.
