Local City Attraction Kicks-Off This Weekend!

Millions of lights and gravity defying displays with your favorite wildlife animals in the heart of Birmingham! Prepare for an evening of excitement as the Birmingham Zoo hosts 17 nights of holiday-centric fun during the annual ZooLight Safari presented by Wells Fargo that kicks off tonight! Participants will watch in amazement as the festive dancing lights accompanied by holiday music and celebratory snowfalls delightfully bring us the best in holiday cheer every night! Enjoy a ride on the Candy Cane Train, or take a spin on the Jingle Bell Carouse during this annual event. If you haven’t had enough by then, take in the magnificence of a nearly 30 feet tall decorated tree in the Trails of Africa and trot to the dance floor with your own signature moves at the beat of special entertainment that will be provided each night!

Councilor Valerie Abbott, an avid animal and Birmingham Zoo supporter said the ZooLight Safari is by far one of the best holiday lights showcases in Birmingham and she hopes many more constituents will be able to come out and experience all the fun.

“I can’t tell you how much I enjoy events like this, they really allow us to mix and mingle with our constituents and the look on the kids faces when they stare at the lights and experience all the holiday fanfare in awe and amazement warms my heart,” Councilor Abbott said. “The Birmingham Zoo really goes all out to give the best presentations with the ZooLight Safari, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this year will hold in store.”
