Working Together Under a New Paradigm: Training Session Planned for Mayor Bell and City Council

BIRMINGHAM, AL- In keeping with the new paradigm that has been set by Mayor Bell and the Birmingham City Council, a training session will be held to highlight the vision for collectively moving the city forward. The session, involving Mayor Bell, City Councilors, Committee Assistants, and Central Staff will take place Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the McWane Science Center. The session will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.
“As president of the council I feel that it is very important to take time out to train as a group to ensure that we are staying on the right path for the betterment of this city,” President Austin said. “This training session is the second of its kind under this administration, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish.”
During the session, councilors will hear from the Mayor on the State of the City, while President Austin will outline objectives for the council. In addition to those messages, a teambuilding exercise will be conducted for all the participants.
