Soccer Game a Huge Win for USA & Birmingham
Almost 40,000 fans packed into Legion Field to watch the 2015 USA Women’s World Cup soccer champs beat Haiti 8-0. Officially, that is the largest crowd that has watched these talented players during their victory tour. The large fan support could end up contributing over $10 million to the local economy. But despite the money impact, the real kick locally will be the memories now shared by thousands of local families.
