9th Annual Party With A Purpose Shows That Rain, Sleet, or Snow The Community Is Committed to This Purpose

Constituents are often lauded for their dedication when participating in special community events. This weekend Councilor Steven Hoyt was able to experience that dedication as citizens came out in droves in despite the rain to help kick-off the 9th Annual Party With A Purpose Event at Ensley Park.

Councilor Hoyt said he was very pleased with the attendance and hopes that citizens were able to receive the many valuable resources that were available.

“Party With A Purpose IS the community,” Councilor Hoyt emphasized. “I’m excited beyond words that so many people, especially our young people, came out in spite of the weather and had a great time. They are the drive that keeps me going. I can’t express that enough. I’m very thankful for all that came out to participate.”

Among the many fun activities and showcases for the entire family, healthcare professionals were also on hand as they conducted various health screens, provided information on health check-ups and explained the benefits of a daily fitness routine. Constituents also came out and met with several employers about potential job opportunities and how they could best prepare for their desired career paths.

“Each year Party With A Purpose gets better and better,” Councilor Hoyt said. “I have faith it will continue on that path, I’m certain our citizens will see to it.”
