Riding With Sheila: Councilor Sheila Tyson Inviting the Public to Join Her For a Ride on the Max Buses

BIRMINGHAM, AL – You may have heard of “Shaking With Sheila” but now Birmingham City Councilor Sheila Tyson has a new initiative underway to engage the public. On Tuesday, January 12, 2016 Councilor Tyson will kick off “Riding With Sheila.” As a part of the initiative Councilor Tyson will take a Max Bus ride to City Council Meeting one Tuesday out of the month, and she’s inviting you to join her. Councilor Tyson will catch the bus at the Dennison & M.L. King bus stop at 8:40 a.m. The route will continue with several stops and conclude with a drop off at Central Station. From there Councilor Tyson will walk over to City Hall for Council Meeting.
“I am so excited about the opportunity to be able to utilize one of Birmingham’s greatest assets along with the constituents of Birmingham,” Councilor Tyson said. “Our public transit system is in my opinion the best in the nation, and I’m looking forward to getting a one on one experience to share with our community.”
