Birmingham City Council to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Mayor-Council Act Changes

Screen Shot 2016-03-16 at 2.08.24 PMThe Alabama State Legislature is being asked to consider a bill, to amend the 1955 Mayor-Council Act to change the City of Birmingham’s governmental structure. If this bill passes and is signed into law by the Governor, the proposed changes will take effect immediately.

To voice your concerns on the proposed changes, the Birmingham City Council is inviting you to a public hearing that will held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
