New Security Measures in Place for the 12th Annual Labor Day Golden Classic
Pack up the entire family, set out the lawn chairs and prepare to salute the final days of summer goodbye. Get ready for a fun filled weekend of football fanfare as Miles College kicks off the Labor Day weekend battling it out on the gridiron against the Fort Valley State University in the 12th Annual Labor Day Golden Classic. The annual event will kick off at 4.p.m. today, but before you head to Legion Field there are some new policies that you’ll need to adhere too. In an effort to heighten security and ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable time during the game, guests will not be permitted to bring certain items into the stadium. About Legion Field’s Bag Policy
Legion Field’s Bag Policy has been established to enhance public safety and reflects an ongoing commitment to recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security. Except for bags required for medical equipment, all bags, backpacks, fanny packs, luggage, briefcases, coolers, computer bags, camera and binocular cases or other similar items and purses larger than a hand-sized clutch are prohibited. Only clear totes (plastic, vinyl or PVC) not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12”, clear plastic storage bags and small clutch purses as identified below are allowed. All bags allowed into the stadium are subject to visual search.
