BIRMINGHAM, AL – Council President Pro Tem Steven Hoyt cordially invites the public to attend a town hall meeting for District 8 on Thursday March 23, 2017 at 5:45 p.m. at Birmingham Crossplex. During the discussion, Council Pro Tem Hoyt will provide updates on projects in District 8 including goals and objectives for 2017. In addition to sharing his visions for economic development in Birmingham, constituents will be apprised on the status of vacant properties and overgrown lots, and share their thoughts on solutions to move the district forward with Council Pro Tem Hoyt and Department Heads from the City of Birmingham.
“I am excited about joining my colleagues to hear from the constituents of my district. I believe that we are on the verge of experiencing a renaissance in Western Birmingham,” said Councilor Hoyt. “Town hall meetings allow us to really engage with the community and share our ideas, visions, and goals for the district.
