Councilor Clinton Woods Hosting District 1 International Community Garden Groundbreaking

On Tuesday, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the District 1 International Community Garden project.
The inclusive meeting area will provide a social space that will promote healthy eating, physical activity and improved mental health. It will feature raised garden beds, sidewalks, and sitting areas for residents.
The District 1 International Community Garden will be a space for residents to grow and harvest traditional fruits, vegetables, and herbs from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Councilor Woods said the goal is to assist in preserving different cultures by adding a place to maintain traditional foods, skills and languages where residents can celebrate their ancestral heritage.
When: Tuesday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m.
