Council President William Parker inviting all residents to Birmingham Bowl selection watch party

This Sunday there will be a watch party at Legion Field as the teams competing in this year’s Birmingham Bowl will be announced.
Since 2006, the bowl game has brought an economic impact of roughly $151million to the Magic City and is attended by people from all over the country.
Birmingham City Council President William Parker would like to invite residents to join in the festivities on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation Board Room at Legion Field.
“This annual bowl game is a major piece of Birmingham’s continued effort to become the nation’s leading sports tourism destination,” Parker said. “Birmingham consistently ranks in the top tier of college football TV rating so it’s no surprise that we love college football. We are excited to host the two teams this year and make this year’s Birmingham Bowl the best one yet.”
When: Sunday, December, 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
