On Wednesday, August 26, Alabama Regional Medical Services will be holding a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Brownsville Heights Community Center.
To schedule an appointment, call (205)-407-9696. However, if a person is in need of a test, they will not be turned away.
Council President William Parker said it’s important that residents take advantage of these drive-thru test sites if they have symptoms, or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.
“The Birmingham City Council has been intentional about partnering with organizations to increase testing throughout all of our 99 neighborhoods,” Parker said. “We are going to continue to seek additional federal funding to aid in these efforts throughout the end of the year.”
