COUNCILOR CLINTON WOODS TAKING PART IN RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW BUSINESS IN DISTRICT 1

There are two new businesses coming to District 1. This Saturday, Councilor Clinton Woods will be participating in a ribbon cutting for Seventh & Luxe Hair and Beauty, beginning at 12:45 p.m.
Ashlee Taylor and Krishon Appleberry are the co-owners of Seventh & Luxe Hair and Beauty. They are a Black-owned beauty supply store providing high-quality hair extensions, accessories, and hair care products located in District 1. The grand opening event is scheduled for this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store address is 605 Springville Rd, Unit C, Birmingham, AL 35215. (Councilor Woods will be available for interviews at 12:45 p.m.)
Last week, another new business opened in District 1: Treats So Sweet, a new Black-owned bakery that will be open Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Councilor Woods said it’s great to see new small businesses opening in the district, especially during these uncertain times that have had an impact on the local economy.
“We’re excited to have these new small businesses that are going to provide a service for our community,” Woods said. “We’re celebrating a victory in our community with these new stores. It’s these little victories that have a way of adding up and addressing the needs in our city.”
