On Thursday, September 17th, Council President William Parker and Councilor John Hilliard of District 9 will be joining the leadership at Olivet Monumental Baptist Church for a food giveaway.
The event will be happening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Olivet Monumental Baptist Church. Fresh produce will be available.
The food giveaway is part of an ongoing effort from Council President Parker and Councilor Hilliard to help residents during this public health crisis.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic stretches on, the Birmingham City Council is committed to aiding our residents in a variety of ways,” explained Council President Parker. “Making sure that people have access to fresh, healthy food is essential. We are thankful for the leadership at Olivet Monumental Baptist Church and their continuing efforts.”
