PRESIDENT PARKER CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP WITH HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND HABD FOR ADDITIONAL COVID-19 TESTING

Council President William Parker has partnered with local healthcare officials and the Housing Authority Birmingham District for an additional COVID-19 test site this week.
On Friday, a testing site will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center located at 529 43rd St., Birmingham, AL. To schedule an appointment at this site, please call 205-975-2819. Walk-ins will also be accepted on the day of testing.
“While we’ve seen our city begin to open back up, we have to remain diligent in how we approach handling this public health crisis,” President Parker said. “We’re going to continue to increase access to testing in all 99 neighborhoods. The Council urges everyone to continue social distancing and adhere to CDC safety protocols.”
