Meeting Day & Time: TBD – Birmingham City Hall – 3rd Floor, Conference Rooms D&E
The Environmental Justice Committee is dedicated to providing assistance to impoverished communities which are exposed to the disproportionate impacts of environmental hazards. The EJC also works to research the effects and implications of transportation policies, procedures and actions on minority and low-income populations (EJ populations), and seeks to improve evaluation tools and methodologies. The work that is completed within the EJC will be used to reduce harmful emissions released from plants, advance energy efficiency and clean energy, and improve community resilience and livability.
