Birmingham City Councilor Carol Clarke will be attending the ribbon cutting for the newly renovated McDonald’s in Five Points West on Wednesday, August 30th at 11:30 a.m.
The updated improvements are part of a larger investment effort being made in the historic neighborhood. The new location employs over 50 team members and will be adding 34 additional positions. During construction those employees were able to continue their employment and training at neighboring locations, according to Valluzzo Companies, the owner-operator of the location.
“This restaurant has been an anchor in this community and I am very glad to see these investments and improvements being made,” Councilor Clarke said. “Beyond just being a place for residents to get food, they are a large employer in the area and are currently looking to expand those opportunities. This is a big win for the neighborhood.”
Some of the improvements include, more indoor seating, updated modern décor and new digital elements include kiosk ordering, MyMcDonald’s app ordering, table service, and curbside pickup.
Councilor Clarke will have media availability at the event on Wednesday.
