The Governmental Affairs and Public Information Committee will be charged with developing legislative policies to enhance the city’s overall productivity while making a concerted effort to increase public participation through community outreach initiatives and technology.

The Governmental Affairs and Public Information Committee will be charged with developing legislative policies to enhance the city’s overall productivity while making a concerted effort to increase public participation through community outreach initiatives and technology. This committee also will fulfill the Council’s mandate to govern as the policy-setting and legislative branch of Birmingham city government.
