YouthSpeak is back for it’s third year, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Presented by District 6 Councilor Crystal Smitherman in partnership with Red Mountain Theatre, YouthSpeak is a FREE performance featuring young talent from across Central Alabama. Ramsay High School, Jefferson County Academy of Theatre and Dance, Huffman High School, Jackson-Olin High School, Wenonah High School, Hemphill Elementary School, Indian Springs, and Paul W. Bryant High School will all be participating in this year’s show — performing poetry, music, theatre, and dance. There will also be a special performance featuring the cast of Red Mountain Theatre’s: The Color Purple.
